Marco Leonetti

Marco opened his first salon at the age of 18 and has continued to achieve excellence throughout his career, first with Avant Garde Salon and now with Utopia Salon.

This year sees Marco celebrate 40 years in business. During that time his career has taken him all over the world, presenting at trade shows and competing in competitions in Finland, Italy and the UK.

I have worked with Marco for 31 years. I started as a receptionist before becoming a charge hand and then manageress about 15 years ago.
The most satisfying part of my role as Manageress is the satisfaction that our clients experience.
From the moment they walk into the salon we make every effort to ensure they leave feeling relaxed, looked after and with fantastic hair — we aim to make everyone feel special!

After 34 years of working for a high street bank, I took early retirement to join my brother Marco and the rest of the Utopia team in 2005.
My position within our very progressive team is as Salon Administrator. As well as getting to use my practical skills such as bookkeeping, I love the interaction with both clients and staff.
It is a pleasure being part of a team that puts emphasis on customer service, ensuring our clients receive the best possible experience from the minute they walk into the salon until they leave.

I’ve been working at Utopia since I left school. Marco is my uncle and as a member of the family I am acutely aware of the demands on him as team leader!
I enjoy all aspects of my job and it gives me great satisfaction to know that the work I do is appreciated by all my clients.
I particularly enjoy colouring and cutting and go away to as many courses as possible to enhance my skills - it’s a good way to meet new people and see how other hair professionals do things.
Utopia is a great place to work. All the staff get on well which makes our clients more relaxed and enjoy their time in the salon.
